So far everything is going according to plan, if we ever had one?! Hmm, then it’s better to say according to plans? We slowly started to unite, everyone started to learn phrases in other languages and new words, songs, sounds, creating something beautiful and hopefully succeed in conveying the message we want. One thing is…
Pančevo, it is when you return…
And we arrived in Pančevo, the wonderful town from which the capital of Serbia is near! Pančevo is the seat of the South Banat district and at the same time our new host. The MFHR project in it’s full composition, with all six partner organizations, is organizing a gathering and final concert this October. What…
Two months, in a blink of an eye
Anyone who has been there in the last few years knows what that means! Love for music meets colorful diversity. Heart warmth meets strained nerves from hours of rehearsals in the stuffy cellar hole. Strangers become like-minded and like- minded become friends. Only two months ago a great crew of young musicians and creators set…
About Sintra
Music for human rights continues its project in Portugal this June, and the good people from Farra Fanfarra gave us the best hospitality we could have ever imagined. In Sintra, everything seems at least a little bit magical. Of course, the people are as pleasant as they could be, but the microclimate makes this almost fairytale-like atmosphere. You could see the sunset on one side and a cloudy and foggy mountain on the other side of the horizon. Step into the shadows, and the cold, windy breeze will make you chill, but if you stepped one meter into the sun, you will feel its heat.
Jerusalem, its only a goodbye for now…
We knew on the last day that every band had made a song or two. Some people even heard some parts of the songs, so the rumors started going around the Goldstein Youth Village. “This band has the amazing sax solo! The other one has three violins!” Expectations were really high and since we already…
Creative process in Jerusalem

I came from Serbia, but from this project I represent Bosnia&Herzegovina. I play violin. How is the creative process going?Really nice! The first day was very hard for all of us, to…you know…find out the…
Jamming in the city of a thousand faces
Finally! A cool evening breeze and a chance for our hyped musicians to jam. Little did I know that it wouldn’t be only us. There were young people from all over, waiting patiently to take their instruments in their hands (and in several examples more than one). When they finally got a chance to do…
Salty trip to the Dead Sea
Here comes the day to pause bands and media team assignments to go out of the village for a naturalistic trip. As I had never been to the Dead Sea before and all I heard about it was the usual popular stories regarding how you could read a book by sitting naturally on the water because…
Echoes of Yad Vashem
We were talking about Yad Vashem for days before ceremony happened, as it seems. The sands of Jerusalem were in the air again the morning of the ceremony, and our colorful group’s visit to the famous museum would be the main topic of the day. Somehow, we just felt the heaviness of that sand. The…
United we stand in Jerusalem
Jerusalem is one of the ideal places to meet numerous cultures cohabiting. Precisely at the Israel Goldstein Youth Village, Music For Human Rights has once again brought together about forty talented young adults from Bosnia&Herzegovina, Germany, Italy, Israel, Portugal and Serbia. Amongst the first days activities and team building games that set a friendly atmosphere…
